40+ Local and International Ciders
With the renewed interest in eating and drinking local, it is no wonder that ciders are following in the wildly popular footprints of craft beer, and often compared to wine. Today we see that hard ciders and perries (cider made from pears) are enjoying quite a renaissance here in the United States.
This event will showcase the finest locally-produced and internationally-sourced ciders – more than 40 in all – being sampled on the picturesque grounds of the Parade Grounds of the Philadelphia Navy Yard.
The event will feature local favorites, best-selling U.S. produced ciders (including Angry Orchard and Woodchuck), and a variety of imported ciders and perries from England, Ireland, and Sweden.
The event will take place outdoors, under tents, nestled into the beautiful fall foliage on the parade grounds. The event will take place rain or shine (no refunds). Food (not included in ticket price) will be available for purchase from local Philly Food Trucks. Parking is limited. Complimentary shuttle bus service will be provided for festival attendees from the Broad & Pattison SEPTA station to the event. The Navy Yard is located about 100 yards off exits from 95 or 76.
There will also be special seminars about cider, the making of cider, and the enjoyment of cider. The event will help raise funds for the Committee to Benefit the Children. (for full price tickets only, not available for designated driver tickets).
1:00PM – 5:00PM. Gates will open at 12:30 PM for ticketing and processing. First pour is at 1:00 PM. Tickets are $40 each when purchased online in advance of the event. If tickets still remain, they will be $65 at the door. Ticket price includes a souvenir tasting glass marked with a 2 oz. pour line and beverage tasting.
Designated Driver tickets are available for $10. A DD ticket holder is invited to attend any of the special seminars and also receives a bottle of water. Any designated driver seen drinking any alcoholic beverage will be removed from the festival immediately. Designated drivers must be 21+ and present valid photo ID for admission.

No one under the age of 21 will be allowed entrance in the festival! This includes designated drivers who must also be at least 21 years of age. NO children, toddlers, infants, strollers, or pets are permitted. No one will be admitted without a valid photo ID (no exceptions). Proper identification is the responsibility of the attendee. Failure to present proper, valid photo identification (driver’s license or passport) will result in denial of entry with no refund offered.
