Love apples? Then, drink apples! Gather with fellow apple enthusiasts, hard cider aficionados, fermentation zealots, and craft beverage fanatics at the Philadelphia Navy Yard for the second annual Pour The Core: Philly.

At Pour The Core: Philly, you and your friends will be surrounded by the picturesque fall backdrop of the Marine Parade Grounds and be showcased to the finest locally-produced and internationally-sourced ciders – more than 75 in all! The event will feature local favorites like the artfully crafted, Frecon’s Cidery Crabby Granny; best-selling US brands like, event sponsor, Woodchuck Hard Cider; and a variety of imported ciders and perries from Spain, England and elsewhere.

So get your blanket or lawn chair ready to stake your spot by the live music performed by Kyle Herring. Carry your sunglasses and hat for protection from the sun... check the weather for what to wear. The event will take place rain or shine (no refunds). Don’t forget to bring a belly ready for delicious foods available to purchase from local Philly Food Trucks.

There will be special seminars about cider, the making of cider, and the enjoyment of cider. The event will also help raise funds for the Committee to Benefit the Children (CBC). Visit the charity page to find out more about this great organization.

Parking is limited. Complimentary shuttle bus service will be provided for festival attendees form the Broad & Pattison SEPTA Station to the event. The Philly Navy Yard is located about 100 yards off exits from I-95 or I-76.

A sell-out is expected so buy your tickets early. Once the event sells out, no additional tickets will be available. General admission (GA) tickets are $40 +fees. GA ticketholders will receive a 5-ounce tasting glass with a 2-ounce pour line, made available by the tasting glass sponsor, Woodchuck Hard Cider. Designated driver (DD) tickets are also available for $10 +fees but DD ticketholders are not permitted to drink any alcohol. DD ticketholders will receive a bottle of water and access to special seminars. Any DD ticketholder seen drinking an alcoholic beverage at the event, will be removed from the festival immediately. If GA tickets are available at the door, they will be $65.

Doors open at 12:30PM for ticketing and processing. First pour is at 1:00PM.

No one under the age of 21 will be allowed into the event. This includes designated drivers who must also be 21 years or older in age. No children, toddlers, infants, strollers, or pets are permitted. No one will be admitted without valid photo ID (no exceptions)! Proper identification is the responsibility of the attendee. Failure to present proper, valid photo identification (license or passport) will result in denial of entry with no refund offered.
